The Owasso Striders Running Club was established in 2012 with the purpose of providing structured training and team building for high school and junior high cross country athletes.

In our first year, we had 10 full-time runners.  Since 2012 we have grown to over 100 athletes and expanded to elementary-age runners and added a sprint program.

Our goal is to create a positive atmosphere where young athletes can grow their potential, reach their goals, and develop a life-long love of the amazing sport of running.

The six-week Striders camp includes two 5k races and twenty-four practices for high school and junior high runners.  Practices include weight training, running, running mechanics, flexibility, race strategy, and team building.  It's hard work, tough training, and a lot of fun!
